Thanks to all of our guests and the editorial staff of Arrington's Bed and Breakfast Journal for making The White Garden Inn the #1 Bed and Breakfast in America.      The White Garden Inn has been named the country’s Bed and Breakfast near a college or university by Arrington’s Bed and Breakfast Journal 2003 Book of Lists.       Arrington’s Bed and Breakfast Journal is a national publication for the bed and breakfast industry. Surveys were taken from readers and in goers to determine winners in the 50 different categories.The White Garden Inn received the highest amount of votes for their category “near a college or university.”       Innkeepers Linda and John Alexander believe t heir commitment to provide Oxford visitors with more than just a lodging alternative garnered them recognition Arrington’s Journal.       “Our inn keeping mission is simple,” said Linda Alexander, “Our guests may arrive as travelers, but they leave as friends. It’s important to us that our guests experience the warmth of a home with the retreat of vacationing, something that’s impossible to feel at motel lodging.”       Each of the Inn’s five spacious rooms takes on a different garden personality that is accentuated with antiques, hand finished wooden cabinets, patterned carpets and Linda’s own hand-sewn duvet covers, window treatments and shower curtains. Elements of home can be found from the terry cloth robes hung in each guest room’s private bath to the homemade quiches, muffings and casseroles featured every morning.       Thanks again to all who voted by filling out the surveys.
